If you are an ambitious self-starter who thrives in an environment where you are empowered to take ownership of your area of responsibility, we would like to speak to you.Location: Columbus, OHHours: Full Time (M-F, 3 days Mammo, 2 days Ultrasound)The Mammography Technologist/ Sonographer operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. This position is critical to Solis Mammography; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience.RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis WayConsistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;Performs other work-related duties as assigned.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;Active Certification with ARDMS ;Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA, ARRT and ARDMS;High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred;Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location;Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;Prior quality control experience preferred;Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;Ability to stand for long periods of timePowered by JazzHR
