Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of our AWS infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web services and a proven track record in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance and support in deploying applications on AWS.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues, system outages, and connectivity problems.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect AWS resources and data.
Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in AWS to propose and implement improvements. Mandatory Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Amazon Cloud Administrator or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and infrastructure-as-code tasks.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and VPN.
Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
Solid understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in AWS.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to AWS infrastructure.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate level or above) would be a plus. Additional Desired Skills:
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of serverless computing concepts and experience with AWS Lambda.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines and configuration management (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
Experience with database administration, particularly in AWS RDS.
Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and experience with hybrid cloud deployments.
Knowledge of cloud cost optimization techniques and experience in optimizing AWS resource utilization. MUST be a US Citizen with a U.S. Government clearance - Intel with Polygraph NOTE: Must have an active TS-SCI with poly. No sponsorships or upgrades are available.
