Job description
The Driver-Courtesy Van Service provides a variety of duties relating to the operation and care of the wheelchair and courtesy vans. Assists with the transfer of patients in and out of the vehicles, and transports patients at discharge, adhering to Safety Standards and Department of Motor Vehicle guidelines. Additionally this position participates in a variety of programs and services offered by the department and Health System. Transport duties include but are not limited to patients, equipment, and supplies. Provides assistance with patient transfers, as part of the Meritus patient care team. Education - High School Diploma or equivalent Experience - Driving of commercial or transport vehicles preferred, familiarity with Tri-State area, ability to drive vehicles during inclement weather conditions, previous transport, patient care, patient observation, customer service experience preferred.
