Instrumentation & Calibration Technician

Job description

Looking for variety and flexible work environment? We are seeking forward-thinking Calibration/Instrument Technicians to join our Life Sciences Calibration team. This is no ordinary technician role - you'll be the technical expert working hand in hand with our biopharma clients to provide a wide range of calibration services.

Project variety examples

  • Work within a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical site to calibrate and test field instrumentation and control loops.
  • Perform an overview of the existing calibration points and suggest best practices to improve calibration time.
  • Work with TAI's Automaton & Controls Engineers to provide turnkey instrumentation solutions.

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Work within a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical site to calibrate and test field instrumentation and control loops.
  • Perform an overview of the existing calibration points and suggest best practices to improve calibration time.
  • Work with TAI's Automaton & Controls Engineers to provide turnkey instrumentation solutions.

You'll be a perfect fit if you have:

  • An Associates degree or trade school certification within instrumentation, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, biotechnology, or other relevant program of study. A high school diploma or equivalent is also acceptable.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working as an Instrument, Metrology, or Calibration Tech within related industry.
  • Knowledge of servicing and installing I&C equipment, preferably within a Biopharmaceutical site.
  • Knowledge of performing calibrations of instruments, including autoclaves, incubators, freezers, refrigerators, BMS/BAS systems, Bioreactors, AHU's, CIP/SIP systems, RODI systems, WFI Systems, utility systems, and fermenters.
  • Knowledge of performing measurements for: analytical, pressure, volumetric flow, mass flow, ultrasonic flow, level, temperature, local controllers, LEL.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
