SCOREKEEPER

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Record a running score and time, manually or electronically, for various sports leagues/tournaments.

DUTIES:

* Keep a recorded book of the running score, fouls and time-outs for various leagues/tournaments in accordance with sport/program rules.

* Provide on-site operational support for leagues/tournaments. Manage emergencies and safety measures beyond the scope of team managers in accordance with the policies and procedures manual.

* Handle any situations on-site that may arise such as protests, official no-shows, rule questions, inclement weather, emergencies, incidents, etc.

* Ability to understand and interpret sport specific rules and County procedures.

* Deliver recorded book to the coordinator in a timely manner.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

* Knowledge of current rules of the sport and the ability to interpret them.

* Ability to deal with sometimes difficult individuals

* Ability to understand and interpret specific tournament rules and County procedures.

EXPERIENCE:

* Prior experience working as a scorekeeper preferred.

* Two years knowledge of the rules of the specific sport.

RATE OF PAY: Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Contingent - Paraprofessional - Minimum Wage to $17.00 per hour

Contingent - Professional - $17.00-$20.00 per hour
