ProspectBlue has partnered with a law firm in Fredericksburg, VA that is looking for a Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join it's team!
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare pleadings for filing
- Attend telephone conferences and prepare synopsis memoranda
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Draft broker transition documents
- Organize exhibits, documents, briefs and appendices
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
- Redact information from documents
- Assist in trial preparation by preparing binders, indexing discovery, and preparing trial exhibits
- Prepare witness preparation binders
Skills - Proven working experience as a workers compensation paralegal
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, etc.
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Extensive computer and database expertise (MS Excel and Word skills necessary)
