LOCATION: Arlington, VA (Pentagon) This is NOT a remote position.

STATUS: Funded/Actively Interviewing!

TRAVEL: Up to 25%

CLEARANCE: TS/SCI

DESCRIPTION: This position directly benefits the Warfighter by supporting the linking of Joint and Multi-Service Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) requirements to today's dynamic concepts of operation and participates in the support framework for the JRO-CBRND to develop Joint CBRND capability requirements. The Program Manager oversees the overall team (upto 40 personnel) , their products and performance and engages with the government leadership.

PRIMARY TASKS:

  • The candidate must be capable of directing, supervising and coordinating all technical activities within an assigned project.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in work planning, work assignment, task scheduling, work progress assessments, technical staff development, all applicable standards, and the technical work products required for each specific task.
  • The candidate must be able to direct and conduct program technical reviews with Government customers. Possession of a relevant, earned MS/MA degree is highly desired.
  • Manages all Contractor and sub-contractor performance of contract requirements and coordinates required timelines with the affected JRO branch chief(s) and the COR.
  • The Project Manager is specifically responsible for the professional development, feedback and mentoring of the contract staff assigned to this contract.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for independently managing all aspects of fiscal control, customer service, staffing, product development and delivery for multiple tasks or projects required to support the client.
  • Must have knowledge of current DoD policies, organization, processes, and doctrine; Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS), Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS); Joint Staff Action Package (JSAP) and current JSAP staffing Task Management Tool (TMT).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable briefing large, diverse and high-level audiences.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires 15 - 20 years of relevant technical area experience, (comparable to a retired O-5 or above or a former GS-14 or above.)
  • The candidate must have seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience as a project lead or project manager.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated understanding of JCIDS, PPBES and the DAS; have had two (2) to five (5) years of experience on the Joint, OSD, a CCMD and/or a Service staff.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a normal office working environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 25%.Could surge occasionally depending on customer requirements.
