Job Description Summary:

The Decedent Affairs Navigator serves to ensure accurate processes are followed for management of deceased patients (including pregnancy losses) between death and final disposition. This includes coordination with internal partners in Nursing, Pastoral Care, Patient Transport, Protective Services, and Pathology. External processes are coordinated with organ procurement organizations, county medical examiners, law enforcement agencies, extended care facilities, funeral homes, families, and other third-party organizations. The Decedent Affairs Navigator will proactively coordinate and communicate to ensure timely and appropriate disposition and monitor system-wide morgue management under the leadership of the Advisor/Manager of Decedent Affairs. This position is currently a work from home function and requires the associate to provide a confidential work environment and high-speed internet service.

Work Schedule - three twelve hour shifts - evenings/nights and 1 day shift.

Thursdays 6p- Fridays 7a
Fridays 6p-Saturdays 7a
Mondays 7a-8p

Additional shifts may be required, based on department needs (including weekend, and holiday coverages).

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree (Required)
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Experience with project management functions or problem-solving competencies are advisable.
