Timekeeping Analyst

Job description

Essential Responsibilities for Human Resources Information Systems Analyst:

  • Manage and maintain timekeeping systems, including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Provide technical support to users encountering issues with timekeeping systems, including troubleshooting problems, answering inquiries, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Monitor and audit timekeeping data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Implement controls to safeguard data integrity and prevent unauthorized access or modifications.
  • Generate regular reports on associate work hours, attendance, and other relevant metrics. Conduct analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and other departments to integrate timekeeping systems with other software applications and databases. Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Analyze existing timekeeping processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and minimize errors.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for associates on how to use timekeeping systems effectively. Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures related to timekeeping processes.
  • Stay up to date with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to timekeeping and attendance. Ensure that timekeeping systems and processes are compliant with legal requirements and company policies.
  • All other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
  • 2-3 years of proven experience working with timekeeping systems, UKG Dimensions preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations related to timekeeping and attendance is desirable.
