Summary of PositionThe Scheduling Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining all levels of schedules, from design management, procurement, and preconstruction. Must have the ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to create project schedules in an effective manner. The Project Scheduler must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.Responsibilities and Essential FunctionsCreate/develop Critical Ptah Methodology (CPM) schedule and fully resourced if necessaryPerform schedule updates and maintenance functions as requiredMentor and train junior schedulers and or APMs/PMsCreate/develop schedule training materials and conduct periodic training sessionsCreate/develop review checklist for schedule Baseline and UpdatesReview third-party design and/or construction schedules and provide written comments. Participate with third-party schedules to address the commentsProvide project monitoring reports documents (schedule narrative) and briefing materials as required. Develop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessmentsResponsible for promptly reporting schedule slippageDevelop comprehensive plan that communicates client s project and strategic goalsMeets all contractual compliance requirementsRepresents a realistic and feasible planning approachCommunicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project s goals (verbal, written, schedule graphics)Understand principles of cost estimating and productivity in establishing schedule parameters (duration, cost and resource loading, etc).Investigate and incorporate project constraints in planning effortCan explain schedule and positions in a formal meeting, presentation, or negotiationEssential QualificationsEducation:

Bachelor s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldExperience:

5 years of successful CPM scheduling experience for

construction/engineering

project utilizing Primavera Scheduling SoftwareOther:

Good understanding of schedule delay principles and techniques, understand the Critical Path Method of scheduling theoretically and as it applies to project, understand the contractual clauses as it applies to planning and scheduling, ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of design, Primavera Scheduling Software (P6, latest Version)Work EnvironmentThe work of this position occurs in a typical office environment and in outdoor activity.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
