As an Applications Developer, you will be responsible for providing support to manage the accessibility program for the office in support of the mission!

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Defining accessibility standards, consulting with development teams about improving accessibility, and providing surge support to the development teams as needed.
  • Using User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) skills to design and shape Human Centered Design (HCD) products and experiences.
  • Creating and designing web elements that optimize user interaction and experience.
  • Collaborating to define solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
  • Implementing solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
  • Identifying design problems and devising solutions.
  • Implementing user friendly solutions to simplify complex design roadblocks.
  • Building wireframes and storyboards to conceptualize design.
  • Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Managing and tracking requirements through the team's JIRA site.
  • Implementing customer design standards and creating templates for reuse.
  • Supporting user experience and user interface enhancement requirements.
  • Assessing, monitoring, developing, reporting, and coordinating a comprehensive accessibility program plan for the office.
  • Tracking of various accessibility improvement activities
  • Recommending future initiatives.
  • Developing enhanced testing producers.
Required Skills:

Must Have :
  • MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development with Java and UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile/DevOps processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with Section 508 requirements and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with UI/UX.
  • Demonstrated experience with COTS accessibility issues.
  • Demonstrated experience with Project Management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing complete user interfaces and user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
  • Demonstrated experience iterating designs and solutions efficiently using agile/scrum development processes.
  • Demonstrated experience using wire-framing tools, storyboards, and user flows.
  • Demonstrated experience using and establishing UI/UX design best practices.

Nice to Have :
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with supporting large organization with dozens of development teams in a primary role of promoting and improving accessibility.
