Special Olympics Inc. (SOI), is the world's largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities: with more than 4.9 million athletes in 172 countries and over a million volunteers. Special Olympics facilitates over 108,000 competitions in a year, across 225 Programs.

Atos is a web-based software system designed to provide CRM-like functionality for data related to athletes, coaches and volunteers associated with the major Games competition.

The Manager, Games Technology Support will be a subject matter expert for Atos registration and credentialing functionalities.This role is responsible for providing Tier-1 support for the Atos software system, including issue resolution and end-user training.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Games registration timelines are met from a technology and Atos delivery perspective.
  • Coordinate with the Delegation Services, Operations and Competition teams to finalize registration field and functionality needs.
  • Use the Atos system to build and manage delegation and non-delegation registrations for identified major Games.
  • Deliver content for registration and credentialing management training sessions and documentation for all stakeholders including SOI and LOC members, Functional Area Leads, and Regional and program staff.
  • Provide user provisioning, authentication, permissions, and user lifecycle management services for the Atos system.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate registrant records and data, including managing changes throughout the registration timeline.
  • Provide credential printing and distribution support related to the Atos system usage.
  • Collaborate with LOC and SOI Operations teams on the creation and management of Games credential access matrix and asset design.
  • Provide troubleshooting and incident response for user-related Atos issues using the SOI provided helpdesk tool.
  • Travel to Games locations to attend preparation meetings, or provide training and support during events.

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new technology
  • Highly organized and ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Flexible and adaptable to meet emerging requirements and changing priorities


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Special Olympics Programs or SOI, including experience with SO Connect or GMS (Games Management System), or experience in a similar non-profit
  • Experience as an on-site or virtual trainer of software systems.
  • Experience in a helpdesk or customer service support role.
