We are currently seeking an Instructional Designer to join our growing Consulting team.

As an Instructional Designer at FMP, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Leverage your knowledge and understanding of industry-leading tools and technologies (Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe suite), best practice methodologies (e.g., ADDIE), and e-learning strategies and solutions (e.g., rich media, gamification) to design engaging learning experiences for adult learners
  • Be a client-facing consultant to assess an organization's existing training and learning assets and provide options and recommendations as well as implement improvements for enhancing their suite of training and learning products to optimize learning experiences
  • Partner with clients and subject matter experts to build productive relationships, regularly communicate, and effectively collaborate with them to: learn and define requirements for new training and learning initiatives; suggest highly creative, effective, and engaging learning solutions; develop measurable learning objectives; design storyboards for e-learning courses
  • Partner and collaborate with other instructional designers, project managers, and team members to identify, brainstorm, problem-solve, and share best practices of learning and instructional design and development
  • Expand the company's Learning function, building internal capacity, process, and capabilities
  • Assume responsibility for projects and deliverables, from beginning to end, with minimal supervision


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Instructional Systems Technology, Instructional & Performance Technology, or Education and 4-6 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree in similar field and 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the full spectrum of ADDIE for e-learning and blended learning initiatives
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience providing learning solutions consulting services to clients
  • Demonstrated experience managing learning development and delivery projects
  • Desire to grow the instructional design talents of more junior team members through mentoring and coaching
  • Understanding of Section 508 and SCORM conformance requirements
  • Knowledge of federal government training practices
  • Demonstrated skill in:
  • Oral and written communications
  • Developing positive, professional relationships with team members and key client stakeholders
  • Balancing multiple priorities and tasks; ability to adapt and pivot to respond to evolving requirements and requests
  • Analysis and critical thinking
  • Resourcefulness; creative and innovative problem-solving
  • Detail orientation
  • Using Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Related professional certification
  • Experience with learning content development tools, such as Articulate Storyline 360, Lectora, Captivate, Camtasi
  • Active security clearance
