**Location:** Columbia, MD, US, 21044 ****Job Description****

We're looking for a Senior Buyer to join our Strategic Sourcing team within our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization. At Grace, we are looking for someone who can deliver great ideas to help drive our Integrated Supply Chain transformation and who values teamwork, performance, integrity, speed and innovation with a mindset of safety at the core. As a Senior Buyer you will primarily support our Global footprint across INDIRECT spend categories.

The ideal candidate will work from our Columbia, MD office, however fully remote and/or hybrid option is available.

Responsibilities include:

Comply and enforce our Source to Pay policies and procedures across the organization

Conduct searches for new suppliers of goods and services, evaluate their capabilities, assess risk and qualify as necessary.

Apply the understanding of user requirements and prepare and execute Requests for Proposals.

Consistently minimize the Total Cost of Ownership which is associated in the procurement of Equipment and Services.

Negotiate purchase agreements with key vendors for the reliable and cost-effective supply of goods and services and ensure compliance with said terms.

Effectively manage the transition of new Vendors.

Identify and develop consolidation of the supply base to reduce complexity while ensuring technical compliance.

Manage supplier quality and conduct supplier audits as necessary. Resolve supplier complaints and issues in a way that achieves an acceptable outcome to Grace.

Work cross-functionally within the ISC organization and other support functions such as R&D, EHS, and Project Management.

Identify, execute and track productivity including cost reduction and cash flow improvement and support the development of the Annual Operating Plan.

Interact with plants, business and corporate management as appropriate and prepare and present internal reports and project bid outcomes as required.

Support working capital goals by reducing where possible the direct material inventory by increasing the ADP and negotiating longer payment terms with suppliers.

Support key stakeholders in the entire source to pay process, including our systems (SAP and Ariba), providing training and troubleshooting assistance

Lead and collaborate with Stakeholder community in the development of Category Strategies for Capital and MRO initiatives to identify and drive Procurement value across the business

****Required Skills****

* Experience with sourcing, contracting and purchasing in Indirect categories particularly Capital Equipment, Engineering and Construction Services, and MRO.

* Capable of prioritizing, managing and executing multiple tasks in a high demand environment.

* Strong sense of matrix environment with ability to effectively work within a team environment across countries and different time zones.

* Fact-based approach with solid analytical skills and ability to drive projects to successful completion.

* Working knowledge of logistics including Incoterms.

* Able to work cross-culturally with colleagues and suppliers throughout the world.

* Ability to manage smaller, site led Capital projects and support larger Strategic Initiatives.

****Required Experience****

* Capable of communicating effectively (both oral and written) across all levels of the organization.

* Proficiency with SAP ARIBA and SAP particularly in PO creation (P2P), release and updating pricing info records, conducting RFPs, catalogs, collaboration, sourcing.

* Proficient using Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* AAS degree from an accredited university, preferably in business, supply chain management or engineering.

****Preferred Qualifications****

* BS degree preferably in supply chain management or engineering.

* 7 years work experience in a global industrial/manufacturing environment with at least 5 years experience in sourcing processes, contract negotiations, and tactical and strategic procurement projects.
