Job description
Under the administrative supervision of the Service Department Director and direct supervision of the Service Foreman, works alone or as part of a crew performing a variety of maintenance tasks using hand tools and the operation of various types of motorized equipment. General Duties ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101: 75% (1) Perform assigned tasks in timely manner: mowing, trimming, cleaning, clearing, painting, watering, sweeping, planting, and ditching as needed. Maintain athletic fields, ball diamonds, athletic courts, green spaces, cemeteries, right-of-ways, bike paths, walkways, park facilities, cutting grass, trimming shrubs, seeding fields, equipment; assist with litter pick-up and restroom cleaning as well as provide support to community special events. 20% (2) Attend all assigned meetings and trainings and inform supervisors of suggestions or ideas that could better the City operation.
