Come and join and grow with Tuerk House team, work in the recently renovated campus and where we just completed a $10.2 million project that includes a pharmacy and a state-of-the-art caf where patients can choose from healthy food options. It also includes 18 more beds for in-patient detox treatment. There are currently 40 beds in use, and by the end of 2023, the Tuerk House hopes to have 92 beds in which people can recover comfortably.

The Pharmacist will provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage to patients and medical staff.

Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.

Order and purchase pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, and drugs, maintaining stock and storing and handling it properly.

Maintain Inventory control with the identified COGS budget for fiscal year.

Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records for radioactive nuclei, and registries of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs.

Provide specialized services to help patients manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, or high blood pressure.

Advise customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment and health-care supplies.

Collaborate with other health care professionals to plan, monitor, review, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of drugs and drug regimens, providing advice on drug applications and characteristics.

Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and dentists, by calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, or overseeing these activities.

Offer health promotion and prevention activities, for example, training people to use devices such as blood pressure or diabetes monitors.

Refer patients to other health professionals and agencies when appropriate.

Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal.

Teach pharmacy students serving as interns in preparation for their graduation or licensure.

Provides counseling and direction to employees regarding identified performance issues using sound professional judgment and facility based human resources policies. Recognizes employee development opportunities and interests and provides support and planning for achieving individual goals. Maintains documentation to support these goals as well as in both probationary and annual performance evaluation processes as defined by facility policy.

Provides leadership and direction to the staff in such a way that all professional and technical activities performed are consistent with the Tuerk House, Inc. and departmental mission, objectives, and policies.

Ensures that all performance evaluations are completed on a timely basis.

Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy Services or designated facility leadership
