JOB DESCRIPTION:

Substitute positions for regular Clinic Aides at the Elementary Buildings (K-4) during periods of absences.

* Administer first aid to students and staff as needed, and/or direct the administration of first aid by other staff member.

* Oversee the appropriate administration of medications at school, and the associated record keeping.

* Examine students upon request and make recommendations to parents.

* Maintain communication and a working relationship with the Union County Health Department.

* Use sound judgment, tact and diplomacy when interacting with students, parents and the community, and maintain the confidentiality of information that is not public domain.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience as a certified Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or other suitable medical training.

* Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/orBoard of Education may find appropriate.

* Must be available to work on short notice.

* Salary $10.00 per hour.
