Job description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Service Desk Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or service industry environment. The IT Service Desk Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients, ensuring their IT issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. This is a 6 month contract to hire.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues
Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support
Track, route, and redirect problems to correct resources
Update customer data and produce activity reports
Walk customers through problem-solving process
Follow up with customers, provide feedback, and see problems through to resolution
Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers' expectations
Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure
Recommend procedure modifications or improvements
Preserve and grow knowledge of help desk procedures, products, and services
