Hands on maintenance of building, equipment and landscaping as well as other tasks required for physical plant operation. Direct supervision for the positions of Maintenance Assistant, Housekeeper and Laundry Attendant including but not limited to department orientation, work assignments and feedback sessions including annual and 90 days.

Job Description:
Hands on maintenance of building, equipment and landscaping as well as other tasks required for physical plant operation. Direct supervision for the positions of Maintenance Assistant, Housekeeper and Laundry Attendant including but not limited to department orientation, work assignments and feedback sessions including annual and 90 days.
Duties include:
- Maintenance Grounds tasks and work orders, as assigned. Including apartment set up and or repairs
- Ability to maintain Department Budget.
- Supervise, educate, and train all team members in proper use, storage and disposal of chemicals and regularly review cleaning procedures and techniques. Responsible for ensuring equipment, procedures, training and proper environment are provided for team members to work safely. Monitor team members adherence to safe workplace practices, including risk management issues such as workplace injury follow-up, universal precautions and emergency procedures.
- All other duties and/or functions as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Maintenance/Grounds management experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and materials, tools and equipment used in grounds keeping and gardening. Methods used in planting, pruning, cultivation, fertilizing and caring for plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
- Requires the ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently
- Heavy physical labor, bending at the waist, walking over rough or uneven surfaces, stretching, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time and dexterity of hands and fingers to operate ground equipment and tools
