ULI Learning (learning.uli.org) provides real estate education for ULI members and the public. Available online and on demand, these educational series, courses, certificates, and programs leverage ULI's publications, content, and research, as well as the practical and theoretical insights of our member leaders. ULI is committed to providing accessible education for the diverse communities of people who are committed to improving the built environment

POSITION SUMMARY:

ULI is seeking a manager to join the ULI Learning team. This position supports a revenue-generating educational start up within an established global non-profit. The successful candidate should be mission driven, collaborative, and organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently. The focus of this position will be managing course development and building courses within the Learning Management System (Thinkific), managing the course schedule, working with Instructors, supporting marketing efforts, reporting, and more. The role also will be finding efficiencies to scale ULI Learning s programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage ongoing stability, upgrade, and development of the learning management system as well as possible management of staff who operate the system on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assist with supervision of staff providing data reporting and analysis including course and participant statistics and demographics; course rosters; post-course surveys; and weekly marketing and revenue statistics.
  • Assist with customer service including assisting with supervision of staff who respond to inquiries on a day-to-day basis. Review and analysis of inquiries to assess user needs and propose changes to platforms and processes.
  • Manage course development, including research on comparable courses in the market, and working closely with faculty and practitioners to refine their offerings.
  • Help create and maintain a process for content review, revision, updating, and sunsetting.
  • Assist team in creating a comprehensive educational curriculum and learning pathways.
  • Support marketing strategy and deliverables including proposing targeted email messaging based on upcoming courses and working closely with Marketing team to ensure success of marketing deliverables through various channels (email, social media, websites, and more).
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned (because our team is growing quickly, we sometimes have additional opportunities available to interested team members).
  • Occasional projects for related teams, including Awards, University Connections, and UrbanPlan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Self-starter with strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment such as a start-up or familiar or comfortable with developing new programs, processes, and systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and produce meaningful data-driven communications for tracking and reporting.
  • Adept at solving problems and making sound decisions.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop curricula working with faculty and practitioners.
  • Understanding of and interest/experience in commercial real estate and land use industries is desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the following technology platforms is a plus: Thinkific (Learning Management System), WordPress (website content management), Cobblestone (contract management), DocuSign (electronic signature and contract lifecycle management), Vena (budgeting), Sage Intacct (accounts payable), Higher Logic/Real Magnet (email marketing), Slack (collaboration), NetFORUM (Customer Relationship Management and Association Management tools), Microsoft Office 365 especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Planner (project management), and/or Smartsheet (project management with automations), and/or Zoom Meetings and Webinars.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor s Degree required.
  • Master s Degree desirable but not required.
