IT Support Specialist

Job description

The client is seeking two entry-level contractors to add to their hardware asset management efforts.

These individuals will follow a set of procedures to work off a list of end-users to schedule appointments, coordinate a 15-min call with the end-user to transition them to a laptop. These individuals will spend the 15-mins guiding the user over the phone with the remote setup of their new laptop. The specialists will ensure the product involved is updated appropriately in our system, update our records and assist in the shipping of the product to the end-user.

The contractors will work onsite M-F from 9-5.

Functional Responsibilities
Call specific set of end-users to assist with remote laptop setup
Answer questions about the product (laptop)
Support onsite computer inventory levels
Review inventory counts and balance accuracy. Ensure that all inventory is properly accounted for
Assist with packing, shipping of product
Manage computer inventory with the use of inventory management tools (ex. ServiceNow)
Assist with imaging of computer inventory, ensure inventory is stored properly and available for customer distribution

Additional Requirements
Excel at customer service
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Must display excellent written, verbal communications
Use phone etiquette best practices
Quick on the feet, multitask - manage workload at a high rate of speed
Detail-oriented
Ensure Accuracy
Willing to learn
Must be a self-starter, able to work independently
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree not required.
Exposure and comfortable with PCs.
Helpdesk experience a plus.
