The Associate Manager, Brand and Creative is part of the Brand Strategy and Creative Services team within Marketing which leads GMAC's global brand strategy to ensure the success of GMAC, its products and mission. The team also serves as an in-house creative agency to increase brand value, champion the consumer experience, further our market insights to showcase GMAC as the partner of choice and admissions expert.

The Associate Manager, Brand and Creative is responsible for the design, production and publication of best-in-class creative assets across multiple channels for both B2B and B2C audiences. This role supports the Director, Brand Strategy and Creative Services in managing the organization's global brand identity, including brand guidelines, assets and templates.

To be successful in the role, the individual should have a comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with graphic design, both digital and print, as well as corporate brand management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intake of creative projects and communicating with stakeholders on any questions regarding project assignments, expectations, project status and timelines.
  • Execute and deliver strong creative materials for external and internal GMAC audiences, including social media, adverts, product flyers, event promotions, email and landing page designs, print production, etc.
  • Collaborate with wider Marketing team to ensure that creative assets are on target with campaign objectives. Test creative assets to meet and surpass goals and KPIs.
  • Ensure visual identity design and implementation is closely aligned to organizational business and branding goals and objectives.
  • Develop/update guidelines, brand toolkits and templates.
  • Serve as brand ambassador and main point of contact for brand reviews and brand advising internally. Hold brand training(s) for internal staff.
  • Own GMAC's Digital Asset Management tool, to include ensuring content is up-to-date and easy to use for internal teams. Source design assets including photography, iconography, etc.
  • Work with outside agencies to incorporate assets from regional campaigns.
  • Remain up to date on the latest trends in design.
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Design; or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience (graphic design, marketing, etc.) required.
  • A smart, sophisticated and diverse portfolio of branding, web, video and social media work (able to provide examples of prior work if requested).
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, and working knowledge of Premiere and After Effects).
  • Highly skilled in Canva.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • PowerPoint design experience - experience designing templates, knowledge of Master slides and PPT animation.
  • Experience in brand identity projects.
  • Experience with digital asset management systems.
  • Moderate knowledge of HTML.
  • Strong knowledge of web/digital design tools (Figma) and wireframing and prototyping.
  • Able to develop simple and elegant design solutions to complex design problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and be detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide variety of people using diplomacy, tact and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work using standard policies and pre-established processes, and with minimal supervision in a team setting.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated writing skills for business.
  • Knowledge of the education industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work in-office and remotely according to GMAC's hybrid work environment.

  • Basic knowledge of CSS is a plus.
