About the RoleThe Privacy Program Manager will be responsible for managing the company-wide privacy program. In this role you will consult with internal stakeholders to gain various perspectives on critical privacy issues and take a strategic approach to establish effective goals, milestones, and metrics of the Company s privacy program. You will apply logical thinking to gathering and analyzing information, gain buy-in from key stakeholders and senior leadership on privacy program efforts, and formulate plans to mitigate and suggest resolutions to potential privacy risks. This role will lead key planning, development, and implementation of privacy activities across all areas of Validity.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Gain a full understanding of Validity s product functions, ISP and partner relationships, data processing operations to ensure they meet Validity s privacy program requirements.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide proactive thought leadership, advice, and communications to ensure privacy risk issues are identified, understood, and effectively managed;Build awareness of the strategic value of privacy and promote strong privacy practices;Prepare privacy training, communication, and awareness materials. Train internal teams on applicable privacy materials and initiatives;Stay abreast of the privacy landscape, including regulations, standards, and industry frameworks and codes of conduct; support assessments of the impact on business, and disseminate relevant information to senior leadership and other internal teams;Assist sales, legal, and compliance groups with drafting and reviewing data protection terms and conditions in vendor, employee, and customer agreements;Work with product management, marketing, HR, engineering and security (etc.) personnel during product development to ensure that Validity s products and services are in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements;Implement written policies, procedures, and standards of conduct regarding privacy governance;Manage Validity s Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Legitimate Interest Assessments;Work with internal teams on documenting and maintaining a personal data inventory and Validity s record of processing activities;Monitor internal compliance against privacy policies and standards by conducting internal audits and risk assessments;Identify potential areas of risk and compliance vulnerability; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid and remediate similar situations in the future;Provide assistance to external and/or internal auditors in compliance reviews (ISO27701);Manage response to suspected privacy incidents and data breaches;Respond to questions and issues raised by clients, partners, and consumers (DSARs);Work cross-functionally to ensure Validity s external privacy notices, registrations and certifications stay accurate and current;U.S. and international travel as needed.Required Experience, Skills, and Education

Bachelor s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3-4 years of similar experience in privacy or compliance and risk management, ideally in a Software as a Service (SaaS) organization.Knowledge of US and International data protection regulations and privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PIPEDA, and others); and applicable industry standards, e.g. DMA guidance.Certification(s) preferred: CIPP/E/T/US, or similar relevant technical and/or industry certifications in a privacy-related curriculum.Be analytical and assess situations and complex problems quickly in order to make or support privacy decisions.You must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to drive projects, identify and support the resolution of legal and business issues, and earn the confidence and cooperation of your colleagues.Excellent organization skills, demonstrated sense of responsibility, and results-oriented.Relationship builder with the ability to inspire others around you.Be accountable for producing results above what is expected.Work independently; be effective in a fast-paced environment.Adapt to rapidly changing business processes and work efficiently under tight deadlinesStrong focus on the ability to interact with people at all levels, including executive management.Proficient with privacy management technology such asOneTrust.About ValidityFor over 20 years, tens of thousands of organizations across the world have relied on Validity solutions to target, contact, engage, and retain customers using trustworthy data as a key advantage.
