An exciting food brand dedicated to sustainable, organic agriculture is looking to add a Strategic Sourcing Manager to their team. This pivotal role is tasked with ensuring the competitiveness and growth of vital commodities through supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and trend analysis. They will lead global sourcing efforts focused on regeneration, climate change, and commodity trends to enhance the company's market position.

Scope of Role:

• Develop and maintain commodity pricing matrix, optimize inbound supply chain.
• Analyze global markets for accurate supply-demand assessment.
• Implement buying and negotiation strategies, manage price risk.
• Manage supplier agreements, payments, code of conduct.
• Evaluate new procurement channels, lead supplier selection.
• Collaborate across functions, assess supplier performance.
• Create Global Supplier Code of Conduct aligned with values.
• Continuously assess suppliers for competitiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar sourcing role
• Must have experience in food and commodities
• Ideally has experience at a large CPG in order to help build and scale the sourcing function
• Interest in sustainability/regenerative agriculture
• Ability to travel extensively in South America and Europe
• Spanish and/or other languages a plus. Must possess cultural sensitivity
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong understanding of agriculture timelines and outputs

MUST be able to work on-site in Baltimore once per week, and must be able to travel internationally roughly 30% of the time
