The DarkStar Group is seeking a Web Developer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance to join one of our top projects in Bethesda, MD. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.

THE PROJECT

The DarkStar Group's team provides Analytic Software Development, Data Engineering, and Cloud Migration services, as well as interagency communication and data-sharing solutions, as part of an enterprise program that spans two major Intelligence Community customers. This project regularly has new openings for Software Engineers, Cloud Infrastructure Experts, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, SharePoint Developers and Administrators, ServiceNow Developers, and various other types of IT professionals.

Work on this program takes place in Herndon, McLean, and Bethesda (we cannot support remote work) and requires a TS/SCI + Polygraph clearance (acceptable to this customer).

THE ROLE

The DarkStar Group is seeking a Senior Web Developer who will support our client with design, creation, deployment, and maintenance of multiple web sites supporting the Intelligence Community. The purpose of this contract, is to provide dev ops, applied technology investigations, operations and maintenance and infrastructure lifecycle support services across the ODNI's enterprise. Our support in McLean includes software engineering/development, O&M, technology investigations, customer advocacy, business processengineering, and system design. The candidate will support our client with design, creation, deployment, and maintenance of multiple web sites supporting the Intelligence Community.

Duties included but are not limited to:
  • Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
  • Develop, recommend and discuss technical designs that meet those requirements
  • Manage SharePoint users, groups, and permissions and be able to trouble shoot access issues.
  • Experience importing MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Project into SharePoint
  • Works closely with business users to review and refine SharePoint requirements.

Required Skills
  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in an IT related field 6 years of related experience; or a Masters with 4 years of experience; an Associates with 8 years of experience.
  • Previous hands-on experience as a SharePoint Developer (2016, 2013, 2010)In-depth knowledge of SharePoint fundamentals such as sites (classic, modern), apps, audiences, libraries, lists, views, forms, workflows, sub-sites, metadata, web parts, style sheets, and master pages.
  • Demonstrated experience in SharePoint and Website Architecture and site-map design and optimization.
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing and integrating multiple data sources to provide customized Dashboards for senior management and government clients.
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework, high availability, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint in general, maintaining large lists, libraries.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint designer, InfoPath, and SSRS Report Designer
  • Demonstrated experience with programming languages and scripting methods including: Python, PHP, Java, Bash, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Demonstrated experience developing using modern coding languages including Java 8 and Javascript.
  • Demonstrated experience creating secure applications systems utilizing IC security guidelines and utilizing Customer Authentication and Authorization systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage several SharePoint tasks / projects simultaneously.

Desired Skills (Optional)
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow as a Platform and host.
  • Knowledge of Agile Workflows and Jira ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of SCRUM and/or Kanban workflows.
