  • Must be local to the DMV area and able to travel to Reston, VA when needed


The Gist...

As our internal Solutions Architect, your enthusiasm for technology and business development will fuel the growth of our amazing company. Working directly with the Chief Information Officer, you will leverage your expertise and work with directly with Amivero's Growth and Delivery teams, our current and future customers, industry partners, and our leadership team to ensure the expansion of Amivero's technical footprint across the Federal Government.

What Your Day Might Include...
  • Develop new and existing relationships with both Industry Partners and Clients. Gather and understand their areas requiring improvement and support, understand their constraints, and understand the elements needed to develop a winning solution.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Business Development Team(s).
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to drive success. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to COP's, Marketing, Growth and Delivery.
  • Design end-to-end solutions that meet client needs, considering factors such as scalability, security, and performance.
  • Develop detailed architecture plans, including system diagrams, component specifications, and integration points.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with technical and growth teams to translate technical concepts and win strategies to written documentation.
  • Implement security best practices and standards, integrating security controls into the architecture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies related to application development, cloud computing, and security operations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive the adoption of innovative methods, continuous improvement, and technology across our delivery teams to benefit our customers.
  • Assist with the creation and sustainability of Communities of Practice/Interest within the company
  • Participate in technical challenges and orals as required
  • Recommend technical strategies for proposed and existing programs.
  • Build strong relationships with internal Amivero leadership teams and employees.
  • Work with Proposal Management to collect and organize company past performance.
  • Potential to assist on billable programs where needed, identifying replacement early for roll-off.
  • Build and implement strategies to monetize existing and future Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA's), Joint Ventures, 8a, WOSB etc.
  • Work directly with Growth to qualify bids based on capabilities and past performance.
  • Work with CIO on Technology Partnerships.


Requirements

You'll Bring These Qualifications...
  • 10+ years' experience in information technology environment
  • Demonstrated analytical, reasoning, planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated skills in communicating how core technologies translate into customers' capabilities.
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects.
  • Expertise in application development, with proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services.
  • Experience with security operations (SecOps) practices, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of security controls and best practices for securing cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • A passion for learning and a commitment to staying at the forefront of technology trends.
  • High level of self-motivation
