We're an award-winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government seeking a Customer Manager who will be responsible for integrating and coordinating activities to engage customers to understand their mission and operations, identify resulting IT needs, and oversee the IT projects through the project lifecycle.

This hybrid position will require at least 2 days on-site in Washington, DC each week.

US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead cross-functional teams, managing new IT requests through the governance process
  • Analyze and establish system information requirements in support of new IT requests
  • Assist others with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for improvements, optimization, and development, in the following specialties: information systems, networking; telecommunications, automation; communications protocols, risk management, software; lifecycle management, and software development methodologies
  • Apply principles, methods, and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements
  • Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action
  • Provide daily supervision and direction to staff
  • Manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer's organization. customer and contractor
  • Consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules, costs, and contractual obligations
  • Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show the progress of projects to management and customers
  • Organize and assign responsibilities to team members, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and assume the initiative and provide support in areas of need to government personnel in support of the PWS

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • At least 10 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience with Project Management
  • Experience working with internal and external customers to identify IT solutions to their expressed needs
  • Experience with current and emerging technologies across multiple domains including network, database, endpoint, virtual computing, and cloud computing
  • Experience with technical designs, frameworks, and implementations
  • Experience with information technology best practices
  • Experience with project management, specifically managing multiple, concurrent project
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience leading CFTs
  • Scrum training and certification preferred (CSM, etc)
  • PMP preferred

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 10 years of experience in place of degree

Internal title/grade: Business Relationship Manager, Grade 7

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.

Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
