Description

Job purpose

The Director of Marketing and Recruitment leads the student recruitment effort by ensuring students understand our brand promise that every student will be career ready and makes sure that the school staff and recruitment team is working hand in hand to grow enrollment.

Duties and responsibilities

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing and recruitment plan for the entire network and for each school
  • Develop partnerships with districts, schools, agencies, churches, community programs, etc.
  • Develop a student Ambassador program for the network and for each school
  • Recruit a team and lead them in recruiting and marketing efforts including developing and maintaining relationships with local-area school and community partners (i.e. counselors, Career Development Coordinators, faculty, local agencies, Ohio Means Job Agencies, etc.)
  • Develop a playbook for each school to follow and ensure they have what they need to execute the plan
  • Work closely with our student training programs-especially our marketing program-to have student teams do real marketing for our schools
  • Oversee the enrollment process and connect the dots between first contact to school visit to student onboarding to student pathway placement-always ensuring we keep our brand promise every step of the way
  • Regularly visit schools to support and evaluate marketing and recruitment efforts
  • Regularly visit schools to learn and share the stories of success
  • Set up programs for students to deliver on our brand promise such as career days, speaker series, student Ambassador training and support


Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required / Bachelors or 5+years of Marketing, Recruitment, Sales, Communications Experience Preferred
  • Broad experience with social media
  • Broad CRM knowledge, Hubspot preferred
  • Proficient in graphic applications such as Canva and Adobe
  • Proficient in Computer applications
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multi-tasks
  • Must pass federal, state and local background checks

  • Ability to work in a diverse educational community setting
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple resources and keep them all focused on the main objectives of enrollment and retention

  • Understand the community and student demographics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Working conditions

  • Ability to travel and possess own reliable means of transportation
  • Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer and other technology related components


Physical requirements

  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Standing for extended periods of time, sitting occasionally
  • Ability to move around the building
