Our client, a large government contractor with offices in Linthicum, MD, is in need of a Secret Cleared Linux Systems Administrator to work onsite for a 6-month contract with great chance of extension and/or full-time conversion. The Systems Administrators will need to be experienced in at least Red Hat Linux 7 (Ideally with experience in other versions as well). The Systems Administrator will be responsible for role-based security, resetting passwords, deploying patches, troubleshooting, and repairing the systems themselves. Additionally, they will be tasked with patching and STIG'ing servers in Red Hat Linux 7. The Systems Administrators will perform domain administration, be able to build physical servers from scratch, understand what the domain server is doing, deploying patches, hardware deployment, perform desktop break fixes, deploying images, deploying STIGS per policy, and vulnerability scanning.

For Linux specifically, the Administrator will demonstrate ability to work independently without direction within an air gapped environment and manage offline repositories. They will also manage firewalls that protect the kernel and maintain the logs via the system command line (you cannot use GUI because of a security setting). The Administrator must know how to manage Linux for Active Directory and be able to share items between both Windows and Linux operating systems as well as between DSS and MTSS.

Required Skills:

• At least 5 years of Linux/UNIX Systems Administration experience with a focus on RHEL 7
• Experienced and comfortable building physical RHEL servers from scratch based on STIG requirements
• Prior experience working in an air gapped environment and knowledge of how when you disconnect a system from the internet how it works differently

• Hands on experience managing RHEL for Active Directory and DNS, DCHP

• Experience working with vulnerability scanning tools and scanning for patches with ACAS
• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance
• Candidates must be US born Citizens per customer requirement
• Candidates must be able to obtain Special Access Program privileges

• Experience working in and troubleshooting network issues in a CISCO
