Lightning Transportation is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to play a pivotal role in overseeing all HR operations within the company. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in HR management, including expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, training, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can cultivate a positive workplace culture and implement HR policies that align with Lightning Transportation Inc's overarching goals and values.

Key responsibilities of the Sr. HR Generalist include acting as the primary liaison for HRIS, payroll, and benefits providers, managing talent acquisition and recruitment processes, fostering employee relations and engagement, developing and enforcing HR policies to ensure compliance with multistate labor laws, and serving as an HR advisor to the leadership and executive team. Additionally, the role entails overseeing employee handbook administration, facilitating training and development initiatives, managing benefits administration, and providing HR and payroll reporting and analytics. What the Role Entails

The following are detailed performance objectives for the Sr. HR Generalist When measuring overall aptitude and cultural fit, all candidates will be benchmarked using these standards.

90 Day Performance Objectives:

Learn and proficiently handle administrative functions of the position, including payroll, benefits administration, and 401K management.

Research and review HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) options, presenting recommendations for the top two systems based on thorough analysis of features and suitability for company needs.

Gain in-depth knowledge of how EOS works.

180 Day Performance Objectives:

Successfully implement the chosen HRIS system, ensuring smooth transition and comprehensive training for all users.

Develop and administer a training initiative aimed at fostering a culture of continuous learning and development among employees, addressing skill gaps and enhancing overall performance.

365 Day Performance Objectives:

Conduct a thorough review of the company's Employee Handbook, identifying areas for improvement and recommending revisions to ensure alignment with best practices and legal requirements.

Ensure compliance with audit regulations and fairness in compensation practices by coordinating with relevant stakeholders to conduct Compensation and FLSA Audits. Collaborate with legal counsel and executive management to address any findings and implement necessary adjustments as approved.

Prepare job compensation bands to establish clear guidelines for employee compensation, ensuring fairness and consistency across roles within the organization.
