Requirements for consideration:

Minimum Education:

* Associate Degree in science from a college/university recognized by regional or national accreditation agency. Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology preferred

* Other acceptable forms of education/experience will follow the guidelines of ASCP/AMT Board certification

Years of Experience:

* Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited MLS program, NAACLS or ABHES accredited MLT program, or a foreign medical laboratory science clinical training program within the 12 months can be used in lieu of one year of full time acceptable clinical experience.

Certification:

* MLT(ASCP) or MLT (AMT)

Job Responsibilities

* Ensure quality specimens for Laboratory testing by recognizing pre-analytical factors that adversely affect patient results.

* To help achieve our mission, you will communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members to optimize job performance and foster working relationships.

* Demonstrating a knowledge of operational/regulatory standards is expected.

* Operating systems/methodologies in order to produce timely and accurate data for patients, quality control and proficiency testing is of vital importance.

* Your ability to participate in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal, team and departmental development by demonstrating operational knowledge and adhering to regulatory standards is required.

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
