The Pediatric Emergency Department at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital (Fairfax Medical Campus) is looking for a Registered Nurse Fellow

Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

* This position is ideal for Experienced Nurses looking to change specialties. (Strongly prefer RNs with at least one year of experience in an acute and/or critical care setting).* Required to go through & complete an Emergency Fellowship upon start.

Job Summary:

* Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.

* Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.

* Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes

* Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Requirements:

Requires a minimum of twelve months of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.

* Strongly prefer 2 years plus of Acute or Critical RN experience

* BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

* If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.

* Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.

* BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required

* CEN/ACLS certification desired

* Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others

* Proficient computer skills required.
