We are currently actively seeking a Regional Director of Nursing to oversee multiple skilled nursing facilities throughout Maryland, New Hampshire, and Virginia.

In this position, you will provide clinical assistance and education within assigned area of responsibility; collaborate with Regional team in identification of clinical priorities in assigned area and development of strategy.


This role will be measured on the following key metrics:



  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

  • Understanding of clinical issues related to patient liability losses and risk management

  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Working knowledge of computer technology and systems to include clinical software systems

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance

  • Good working knowledge of the RAI process

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information

  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all level.


Responsibilities



  • Assist with managing urgent risk events

  • Oversee regional team



  • Conduct survey preparation or other regulatory preparation duties as requested

  • Conduct group clinical training

  • Assist in implementation of new clinical trainings or programs

  • Assist with resources for training when new clinical complexities present for admission

  • Assist Nursing Centers with education on resource allocation including acuity based staffing and consistent assignment

  • Participates in education and implementation of new company initiatives including new evidence-based practices

  • Revise clinical systems as dictated by change in regulations or standards of practice

  • Supports development of Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) process

  • Respond with urgency and communication when identified care issues are noted

  • Regularly communicate to Team Members on matters related to compliance, patient liability, adverse events, and regulatory issues

  • Collaborates with the Regional Director of Operations and the VP of Clinical Services to ensure quality and regulatory compliance


Qualifications:



  • Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as a RN in state of consultation.

  • 3 years of previous clinical leadership experience in a long term care setting.

  • Multi-facility consultation or management experience preferred Ability to travel extensively and work on-site in numerous facilities.

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.

  • Understanding of clinical issues related to patient liability losses and risk.

  • Strong decision making and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of computer technology and systems to include clinical software systems.
