Behavioral Health Clinicians
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling and/or Doctorate in Psychology required
  • Licensure by relevant State Board of Examiners/Department of Health required
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in the human services field; educational setting preferred
  • Demonstration of strong counseling and interepersonal skills; must be comfortable providing therapeutic supports and services to children, adolescents, and families
  • Demonstration of strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work independently with minimum oversight and demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and quality awareness. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Effective time management skills. Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and some weekends;
  • Experience in working with parents and community agencies in providing services for students, preferred.
  • Understands and respects the diversity of families' economic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds and situations while demonstrating a high degree of cultural awareness and competency in cross-cultural practice with stakeholders;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Behavioral Health Clinicians work hand-in-hand with student services personnel and school leadership to provide counseling, therapy, and psychoeducational consultation and support to students and families.
  • Implementation of essential wraparound services including physical, emotional, behavioral, and emotional wellbeing for students, families, and the community.
  • Promote behavioral health services, including areas such as providing professional development to school staff to drive trauma-informed interventions
  • Behavioral Health Clinicians may bill state insurance for provision of services as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with student services personnel and school administration to develop plans that reflect the priorities of multiple stakeholder groups/partners to promote equity, prioritizing the needs and physical, emotional, behavioral, and emotional wellbeing of students and families by providing identified wraparound services and supports
  • Collaborates with school principal to establish ongoing relationships with community organizations, community members, and businesses to increase their involvement and maximize community contributions for school effectiveness; develop relationships with community organizations that provide needed family services;
  • Improving student attendance and the learning environment. Attends school-based meetings as needed that may include Instructional Leadership Team, PBIS meetings, Student Support Team (SST), special education (IEP) meetings, etc., as needed. Provides school personnel staff development regarding wraparound services and student resources
  • Fulfill all contract requirements to include professional development, reporting, and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
