Duties and Responsibilities

Teaches undergraduate courses in the Public Health Informatics and Technology Program and other related courses. Contributes to the academic and service programs of the department through research, student advising and mentoring, as well as committee service at the Department, College and University levels. Strong educational credentials and evidence in teaching, research and service in public health informatics, public information systems, data analytics, nursing informatics and nursing public health are desirable.

Conditions of Employment

Experience

Applicants must show the potential or have experience in teaching and advisement at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Education

Ph.D., DNP. DIT and other doctorates in Public Health Informatics and/or Technology or highly related field, or a Ph.D., DNP, DHA in public health with extensive working experience in informatics and additional certifications in Information Technology and Systems by the date of the appointment is required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Effective communication skills are essential as well as the ability and commitment to educate first generation college students. Must have a strong ability and commitment to embrace innovative teaching and technology applications in the classroom.
