We are seeking a FT addictions counselor to work across both inpatient divisions providing the highest standard of care to our current clients. This new position will focus on group facilitation that covers the pre-set 3.3 level of care course curriculum along with instructing the ancillary life skills classes. This role will be assigned 3 days at the Men's Buckeystown campus and 2 days at the Womens Sabillasville campus. Being comfortable working with a cross spectrum of substances abuse clients as well as being able to facilitate moderate to large groups will be required. Qualified candidates should be skilled at professional time management as well being able to make clinically appropriate decisions. Additional experience in de-escalation and conflict resolution would be preferred.
Requirements:
Certificate of completion in addiction counseling, associate degree. bachelor's degree. Master's degree
Appropriate Maryland state licensing and/or credentials such as ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC. LGPC. LMSW
Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and regulatory standards of care
Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience working in the field of addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider
Experience facilitating therapeutic group and administering clinical assessments
Experience with treatment planning, clinical notations, and EMR charting.
Ability to pass local & federal background checks along with being able to clear a full panel drug screening
Ability to handle crisis intervention with strong de-escalation skills.
Adaptability and motivation to improve clients' lives are indispensable.
Position Offering:
competitive starting salary ---- Range $50,000 to $58,000 annually
Tuesday & Wednesday 9a to 5p / Saturday 10a to 4p @ Men's Facility - Buckeystown
