Job description

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Supervises Sportsbook cashiers; ensures all transactions are performed according to Company policies as well as state and federal regulations.
  2. Monitors all monies being wagered.
  3. Approves or denies wagers from guests in conjunction
  4. Maintains Sportsbook vault.
  5. Conducts sweeps/bankroll increases on cashier drawers as necessary.
  6. Conducts basic maintenance, and customer experience on kiosks.
  7. Handles escalated guest disputes in the Sportsbook.
  8. Reports issues and discrepancies to management immediately.
  9. Advises management of any operational concerns.
  10. Assists with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned.
  11. Enforces Company's Standard Operating Procedures.
  12. Maintains high visibility throughout the Sportsbook.
  13. Provides outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)

  1. Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  2. Ability to solve complex problems.
  3. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.
  4. Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  7. Experience in sports or online gaming is highly desired.
  8. Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.


Educational Requirements

  1. High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  2. 1+ years' experience with cash handling and sportsbook betting experience preferred.
  3. 1+ years' ticket writer/cashier experience preferred.
  4. Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license as determined by the District of Columbia Office of Lottery and Gaming for the position.


Essential Functions/Exposures

  1. Ability to stand for a long period of time with basic range of motion (bending, twisting, reaching etc.).
  2. Ability to speak for a long period of time.
  3. Ability to lift, push or pull 25 lbs.
  4. Ability to work in a high energy atmosphere exposed to alcohol, bright lights and loud noises.
