**Amentum** is currently seeking an **X-Ray Scanner Clerk** to support our contract in **Springfield, VA** .

Must be a US citizen, must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Primary duties:

+ Preparing incoming mail for distribution and processes outgoing mail.

+ Distribute and collect mail, determine and affix postage and maintain records on postage,

registered mail and packages without direct supervision.

Additional duties:

+ Complying with and supporting established procedures to encompass

inbound and outbound mail processing, including unclassified and classified mail up to and including TS/SCI and using proper handling procedures for all classified mail in addition to overseeing pickup and delivery schedules.

Scanner Duties:

+ Scan all incoming outgoing media, including visual media up to 75 pounds in weight, for

viruses and perform a dirty word search to ensure that no classified material inadvertently exits the Scanning Facility.

+ Must operate X-ray scanning equipment, mail containment hood ops (mail sniffers) and

mail and letter opening equipment

+ Open and inspect all mail using the containment hoods then close and attached an

inspection sticker

+ Willingness to accept risk: Although a remote possibility, must be willing to accept the risk of Chemical Biological Warfare (CBW) contact during mail handling
