Job Description
Are you an experienced Modeling and Simulation Engineer who is passionate about utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of homeland security? If so, come join AMERICAN SYSTEMS as our next Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer and play a vital role in supporting our DHS customer's mission critical activities in Washinton DC.
As a Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer, you will:
- Conduct engineering-level Modeling and Simulations (M&S) analyses and identify and implement M&S best practices.

Responsibilities of a Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer include:
- Decomposing data and requirements and align them with models to support gap assessments.
- Providing input regarding M&S techniques for the design, development, and planning of M&S activities.
- Developing operational scenarios to identify critical data requirements.
- Executing M&S strategies to develop and test Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) via Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive (JLVC) environment.
- Supporting test exercises and developing M&S services requirements to achieve test objectives.
- Observing and analyzing test and evaluation operations to ensure alignment with military doctrines, policies, and procedures.
- Supporting research and coordination, developing program test plans and detailed test plans.
- Supporting the development of M&S verification, validation, and accreditation planning activities.
Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- CBP BI or SSBI (Top Secret clearance) or DHS Clearance REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM field and 10+ years of experience; or HS Diploma and 16+ years of experience.
- Must have practical experience and project management knowledge necessary to manage large and complex program requirements and initiatives throughout OA and CBP.
- Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint are required.
