We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Cleared Interior Designer with a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI access to join our dedicated team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join our team. This role involves designing and renovating interior spaces within government facilities to improve functionality, safety, and aesthetics while adhering to strict regulatory and security standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in interior design, project management, and a keen understanding of government regulations pertaining to public space utilization and design.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and plan interior layouts for government offices, meeting rooms, and public spaces to enhance functionality, security, and aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government officials to ensure design plans meet all legal, accessibility, and security requirements.
  • Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finishes while adhering to budgetary constraints and government procurement guidelines.
  • Develop detailed drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software to visualize and present design concepts.
  • Manage multiple interior design projects from conception through completion, including timeline management, vendor coordination, and on-site supervision.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and government regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies that can be applied within government settings.
  • Provide expert advice on space planning, color schemes, and material selections that are durable, cost-effective, and conducive to the intended use of each space.
  • Prepare documentation for bid proposals, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Address any design-related issues that arise during construction and provide solutions that comply with all relevant guidelines and standards.


Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Top-Secret security clearance with SCI Required
  • Professional certification in interior design (e.g., NCIDQ) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, with a significant portfolio of completed government or commercial projects.
  • 3 years' experience designing furniture layouts in AutoCAD with (1) of those years with a furniture dealership space planning and specifying contract furniture.
  • CIDA accredited Interior Design degree is required for designers fulfilling the Design-Build SOW Interior Designer Role.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.
