The instructional designer is responsible for creating compelling learning activities and course content, working with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories and methods, and utilizing multimedia tools to enhance the learning process. This person will assist the client in the development of online training content by conducting research on training needs, understanding the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) requirements for Leadership training, making recommendations, developing training content and presenting findings to client team members and executives.
Job Duties
Analyzes and prioritizes training needs
Develops course outline and objectives
Designs and develops course content
Designs and develops storyboards and interaction models for simulations
Writes scripts for audio and video presentations
Designs and develops script scenarios for soft skills and other training
Designs and develops training content in an eLearning platform
Creates branching models for multiple outcome training modules
Interacts with SMEs to create training modules and submit finished projects for review
Collaborates with client staff on Instructional Design issues and methodology
Requirements
Experience using Articulate Storyline
Must have strong eLearning and LMS background
Excellent documentation, communication, teamwork, project management, and organizational skills
Experience in developing course outlines and objectives
Experience in writing course content for audio and video presentations
Experience in developing script scenarios for soft skills and other training scenarios
Experience creating detailed reports and conducting multi-media presentations
Experience working in a studio environment to produce audiovisual training content
