Aerospace Job Type Full-time Description Workhorse Group Inc. is a technology company focused on providing drone-integrated electric vehicles to the last-mile delivery sector. As an American original equipment manufacturer, we design and build high performance, battery-electric vehicles including trucks and aircraft. Workhorse also develops cloud-based, real-time telematics performance monitoring systems that are fully integrated with our vehicles and enable fleet operators to optimize energy and route efficiency. All Workhorse vehicles are designed to make the movement of people and goods more efficient and less harmful to the environment.

We are currently looking for someone to pilot and help develop our small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS).

We need someone who can work well with a team in a high-pressure, high-visibility role, and someone who wants to make a difference.

**Additional Job Responsibilities**

The UAV Pilot is responsible for flying, and maintaining small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and subsystems. This individual will work with the flight test crew before and during field operations. The ability to travel for flight testing and demonstrations are a prerequisite for this position.

Pilot and testing of the UAV with Remote Control (RC) and Ground Control Station (GCS).

* Follow FAA regulations for Part 107 UAS operations.

* Analysis FAA airspace and understand aviation weather.

* Build and develop UAV subsystems.

* Ensuring quality of production process by confirming specifications are met.

* Collaborates with others from a variety of disciplines to find innovative solutions to assembly and operational challenges.

* Assembling UAVs according to design specifications.

* Providing user interaction data for GCS and its User Interface (UI).

* Providing test reports and building process documentation.

* Providing feedback on wiring/building process and implementation.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

* UAS, Aviation related degree required.

* Private Pilot or Commercial license or higher.

* 3+ years of hands-on aviation or drone pilot experience.

* Knowledge of FAA regulations.

* Part 107 Certification.

* Fixed wing UAS operation experience required.

* Ability to travel for flight tests and demonstrations.

* Has the ability to read and interpret technical documentation, structural designs, and electrical diagrams.

* Effective at solving problems.

* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

* Has experience or a keen interest, in unmanned aerial vehicles and aerospace engineering.
