DFC is seeking an experienced healthcare data analyst to join a large healthcare-related business operations support contract. The team is seeking a driven individual with excellent critical thinking skills and high attention to detail who has a desire to work on complex data tasks, enjoys working in a fast-paced and regularly changing environment, and can effectively manage competing priorities. What the role requires:
  • Developing queries using the Medicare Integrated Data Repository and conducting analysis on Medicare claims data and beneficiary data.
  • Prior experience analyzing Medicare data, familiarity with Medicare coverage and enrollment policies, and CMS data systems.
  • Manipulating and analyzing data using SQL, Snowflake, SAS, or Python.
  • Engaging directly with clients to understand their needs and providing guidance on appropriate analytical techniques to address research questions.
  • Creating and managing timelines for data analysis and reporting deliverables.
  • Writing reports to communicate findings from analysis to non-technical audiences.
  • Developing and delivering presentations and executive briefings on findings internally and to clients.
  • Providing operational support in a variety of capacities, including data integrity, quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Leading and supporting efforts to develop processes for data quality assurance and reporting.
  • Providing viable reference material for users by writing and maintaining user documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintaining client confidence and protecting operations by maintaining information confidentiality.

What you need to be successful:
  • 5+ years professional working experience. Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong analytical, data visualization, presentation development, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently and develop client relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to client service excellence.
  • Federal government experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of databases and programming languages such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
  • Working knowledge of visualization software PowerBi, Tableau, or MicroStrategy

Other important information:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in math, finance, statistics, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance, if needed, is required.

  • Preference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates.
