Summary/ObjectiveThe System Support Specialist III provides end user support, problem resolution, and best practices for hardware and software for multiple sites within the ODW environment. This position will be responsible for effectively, efficiently, and independently managing their ServiceNow queue of request and incident tickets as well as mentoring other System Support Specialists. A combination of remote and on-site support will be required.

  • Provide advanced support and problem resolution for end user devices including but not limited to Laptops, Desktops, Printers, RF Equipment, and Label Printers to include setup, configuration, and deployment.
  • Provide advanced support and problem resolution for end user software including but not limited to MS Office, O365, WMS setup, print drivers, and DUO.
  • Perform administrative functions to include but limited to, new user setup, access requests, printer setup, email setup and shared drive access.
  • Diagnose standard and complex issues and identify inefficiencies to initiate process improvements to remediate.
  • Develop technical documentation and assume ownership of document library to ensure all information is documented correctly and accurately
  • Analyze, recommend, and evaluate new hardware, software, and communication products for compatibility and applicability
  • Be a subject matter expert in all service desk functional areas to ensure procedures are efficient, documented and implemented.
  • Able to work entirely independently with little to no supervision, is able to resolve issues without outside assistance, and is an escalation resource for Level 1 & Level 2 Techs.
  • Keep current on new developments and techniques in information technology
  • This position will be part of the on-call after hours support team.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 5+ years IT helpdesk / desktop support experience
  • A+ Certification (or comparable experience)
  • IT related Certifications (or comparable experience)
  • Desktop OS Support, Problem Solving, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus, Coordination, Technical Understanding, Quick Study
  • Microsoft Windows 10/11
  • CompTIA Certifications
  • Knowledge of data communications
  • HP LaserJet printers
  • Experience with RF Scanners
  • Experience with Zebra Printers
  • Ability to hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate.


While performing the duties of this job, the associate is:

  • Continuously required to sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion;
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb or reach.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to be on-call or after hours or weekend support as needed


Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus (with or without corrective lenses).
