Job description

To apply for this position, you need to have a clinical license or be eligible to transfer your license to Maryland before you start working. The acceptable licenses are LCPC, LCSW, and LMFT. (We also consider candidates with provisional licenses such as LGPC, LMSW< and MFTC). A license is required to ensure that you have the necessary skills and qualifications to provide quality care to our clients.

Location: Towson, Maryland

License Requirements: Maryland Clinical or Provisional License (LGPC / LCPC, LMSW / LCSW, MFTC / LMFT)

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Environment: Outpatient Treatment Center | Dual Diagnosis Programming

Compensation $70,000-$87,000 + $12,000 Sign-On Bonus

As an Adolescent Mental Health and Substance Use Therapist at Sandstone Care You Will:

You will join a team of passionate and dedicated therapists who are committed to providing high-quality, individualized, and compassionate care to adolescents and young adults.

As an Adolescent Mental Health and Substance Use Therapist, you will:
  • Work with a small and manageable caseload of 8-12 clients, allowing you to focus on their specific needs and goals.
  • Balance your work and well-being with 20-25 clinical contact hours per week, ensuring that you have enough time and energy to care for yourself and your clients.
  • Lead engaging and interactive clinical groups that help clients connect with each other, learn new skills, and grow as individuals.
  • Deliver personalized and evidence-based individual therapy that addresses the underlying causes of clients' challenges and supports them in making positive changes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and recovery coaches, to create and implement customized treatment plans for each client.
  • Use your empathy and experience to guide clients along their unique paths to recovery, helping them overcome their difficulties and achieve their potential.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Clinician - Clinical license preferred (Must be licensed in Maryland or able to transfer license prior to start date).
  • Minimum of 1 year of non-internship experience with family therapy and/or substance use or mental health treatment.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field
