Business Analyst (all levels)

Summary Description:

MSAG is building a team of analysts (from entry-level through Senior II) to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on a broad range of research, service analysis, strategic planning, systems engineering (SE), technical, financial, and programmatic support services, and other aviation related support services, that will enable the FAA to accomplish its National Airspace System (NAS), Mission Support, and other aviation related mission objectives.

Duties and responsibilities:

Exact responsibilities depend upon the specific position. A specific position will include only a subset of the sampling of responsibilities below. The range includes, but is not limited, to the following:
  • Support FAA strategic planning,
  • Prepare funding and strategy briefings and documentation to support leadership.
  • Apply expert knowledge in emerging aviation related topics (i.e., UAM, AAM, hyper-connected systems, etc.) to conduct assessments and analyses.
  • Administration and maintenance of technical and strategic portfolios,
  • Develop, document, and maintain processes to promote standardization and efficiency.
  • Support the development of strategy and other required ATO corporate planning artifacts, to include the refinement, validation, publication, communication, and updates of the corporate planning artifacts.
  • Provide support for new entrant integration analysis and strategic planning.
  • Leverage cybersecurity risk management skills to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide data science, data engineering, or systems engineering and project or program management.
Mandatory Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills):
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • 1 - 20+ years' experience conducting research, evaluations, analyses, and studies, and presenting recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements.
  • Specific expertise may be required in configuration management, Earned Value Management, financial management, cost estimation, or risk management, depending upon the position.
  • Must be eligible to achieve Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills):
  • Ability to lead project work as well as contribute as a part of larger team.
  • Well-versed in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using virtual work tools, such as Teams and SharePoint.
  • PMP certification.
