We are a fully remote IT services provider that delivers innovative Enterprise IT and Health Services solutions across the federal sector. Our focus is on data analytics, health informatics, cloud migration, and the modernization of federal information systems.

IGS is currently recruiting for the position of a full-time Health IT Project Manager to support professional, scientific, and technical subject matter expertise services.

The mission is supporting the building of an engagement and digital data platform, mobilizing rich and constantly evolving data from electronic health records, biospecimens, and questionnaires, to physical evaluations, sensors, and other technologies. The program will support research at the intersection of lifestyle, environment, electronic health records, claims data, personal health information, and genetics to produce new knowledge, leading to the development of innovative prevention strategies and treatments for foundational health challenges.

Services include but are not limited to supporting strategic planning; analysis of existing and emerging health IT solutions, including incorporation of electronic health records along with other personal, biologic, and health data streams to support precision health research; requirements gathering; documentation, implementation, and operation and maintenance support for projects in all stages of their life cycle; and product and project management for the entire program.

Assignment of Work and Travel:

Nearly all work shall be performed at a Federally controlled facility in the Rockville, Maryland, area and remote as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Support the efforts to specify, develop, manage, administer, or review projects in support of the Program.
  • Support services include, but is not limited to, the following:
o Applying new project management methods to meet complex business requirements and resolving conflicts and issues as they arise.

o Preparing and documenting project plans for each track of work on projects, including requirements, testing, development, and project management.

o Preparing plan presentations for executives, project teams, and other project stakeholders.
  • Requirements gathering supporting efforts to define, prioritize, and manage requirements for projects across the program, but must have specific expertise in health IT and solutions needed to manage the health data analytics of the Program.
  • Support services include, but is not limited to, the following:
o Meeting management and facilitation.

o Researching and advising management on requirements best practice approaches.

o Preparing requirements planning documentation including validated, tailored approaches that consider best practices as well as program realities.

o Working with user groups, including grantees, agency Institutes, subject matter experts, and stakeholders, to define and prioritize system requirements.

o Working with the development teams to define development and testing strategies.

o Performing requirements analysis in the software development life cycle model.

o Eliciting high-level goals early in development.

Documenting and modeling requirements with diagrams such as data-flow diagrams that can explain how a system behaves.

Requirements

Health IT Project Manager IV
  • 8 years of Project Manager experience
  • MS (Master of Science) degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline, or Bachelors + 2 additional years relevant experience; Associates + 4 additional years relevant experience; or 6 additional years relevant experience.
Health IT Project Manager III
  • 6 years of Project Manager experience
  • BS (Bachelor of Science) degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline, or High School diploma or GED + 3 additional years relevant experience; Associates + 2 additional years relevant experience; or 4 additional years relevant experience.
Health IT Project Manager II
  • 4 years of Project Manager experience
  • BS (Bachelor of Science) degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline, or High School diploma or GED + 3 additional years relevant experience; Associates + 2 additional years relevant experience; or 4 additional years relevant experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Manage and communicate ongoing changes in task, goals, or performance.
  • Formulates and enforces project plans, risk registers, work standards, assigns project personnel schedules & tasks, reviews work discrepancies, supervises project personnel.
  • Provides creative/technical guidance for accomplishing assigned tasks.
  • May support Agile methodologies, including Product Manager roles.
  • Assures that project personnel deliver the customer's desired technical solution within the mutually established contract schedule and cost.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement.

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
