Immigrant Justice Corps (IJC) is the country s first and only fellowship program dedicated to meeting the unprecedented need for high-quality legal assistance for immigrants seeking citizenship, other lawful status, and fighting deportation.
IJC mobilizes the country s most talented law school and college graduates to provide high quality representation to low-income immigrants.
IJC s two-year fellowship program connects Fellows to the best legal services providers and community-based institutions nationwide. The program fosters a culture of creative thinking that engenders new strategies to reduce the justice gap for immigrant families, ensuring that immigration status is no longer a barrier to social and economic opportunity. Since its founding in 2014, IJC has trained 300+ fellows who have effectively helped over 100,000 immigrants and family members with a 92% success rate on completed cases.
THE OPPORTUNITY
At a time of strategic growth, IJC seeks a Managing Attorney to oversee the training and legal technical assistance of IJC s fellows in the Midwest Region (i.e., Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Wisconsin). In conjunction with the Director of Training & Legal Technical Assistance (TLTA), this individual will lead the development of trainings, materials, and playbooks that are subject matter specific and geared towards the Midwest region. In addition, the Midwest Region Managing Attorney will manage and develop content for case rounds, manage all technical assistance and legal support for Midwest IJC Fellows, and plan for Midwest Regional conferences.
The Midwest Region Managing Attorney will work closely with the Midwest Region Fellowship manager to ensure the Midwest Region placed Fellows, and their Host Organization (HO) supervisors, receive timely support and supervision, as well as Midwest Region-driven technical assistance.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Management of TLTA Service Delivery & HO Supervisor Engagement - (80% of Time)
Programming Support (20% of Time)

Must possess the ability to tell stories through data, making complex sets of information relevant and relatable Ability to manage from a strengths-based perspective Dependable execution, ability to manage aggressive deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Strong sense of responsibility and accountability; team player and partner mentality.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary for this position is set at $115,000. Excellent benefits package including 401(k), dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and flexible spending account.
