Job description

The Department of Radiology at Nationwide Children s Hospital (NCH) in Columbus, OH, seeks a fellowship-trained Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join a growing practice of 5 current IR faculty. Our group has a strong commitment to excellence in clinical care, camaraderie, and innovation. We encourage applications from trainees completing their fellowship in 2024 and practicing radiologists of all academic levels. Alternate Pathway or Visa holders are supported and encouraged to apply.


The successful candidate s primary responsibilities will be clinical, providing interventional and imaging care as part of a collegial team of radiologists and clinical providers committed to their patients via a One Team approach. The Interventional Radiologist will work on-site for daily responsibilities. IR call is taken from home in a typical frequency of 1 in 5-6 nights. The position includes some diagnostic radiology responsibilities, some of which can be performed remotely.


The IR Section has 3 angiography suites and is finalizing plans for 2 additional IR suites in a new adjacent clinical tower. Dedicated clinic space within the department provides continuity for patients and families. The team is supported by 3 full-time advanced practice providers and a core team of technologists, nurses, and administrators. The Section performs more than 4300 procedures per year, with a full complement of vascular and non-vascular interventions and robust subspecialty care/procedures within the areas of hepatobiliary disease, vascular anomalies, musculoskeletal, and lymphatic conduction disorders. The


The successful candidate will have interest and experience in educating and leading future generations of radiologists. The department has 5 pediatric fellowships available in General Diagnostic, Body, Interventional, Cardiac Imaging, and Neuro Radiology. In addition, NCH serves as the academic teaching hospital for residents in The Ohio State University Radiology, The Ohio State University Pediatrics, University of Toledo Medical Center, and Larkin Community Hospital residency programs. Requirements:

Diagnostic Radiology and Pediatric Radiology certification with the American Board of Radiology Experience or fellowship training in Pediatric Interventional Radiology

Formal training in adult Interventional Radiology is desired but not required.
