Advertised Position Title Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, State Tested Nurses Assistant 2021-2023 Job Description Summary Adjunct STNA program Instructor part time Registered Nurse with current unencumbered Ohio License Knowledge of Ohio Nursing Practice Act/Rules/Regulations Knowledge of Ohio Nurse Nursing Aide scope of practice pertaining to the ODH standards for NATCEP standards and guidelines Knowledge caring for the chronically ill and elderly Knowledge of safety standards and hazards in the health care setting Computer skills including Word and Power Point Strong verbal and written skills Operation of electric hospital beds, mechanical lifts, and safety equipment used in caring for patients. Lecture to groups of students up to 30. Ability to plan and organize lecture and lab material Ability to supervise and instruct students in skill lab and clinical Work in a fast paced multitasking environment Leadership and mentoring qualities Documentation skills and verbal skills Strong work ethic, dependability, flexibility, self organization, team oriented, work independently, multitask multiple students in classes, lab, and clinical settings Strong communication skills/verbal/written Knowledge Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered Ohio License Knowledge of Ohio Nursing Practice Act/Rules/Regulations Knowledge of Ohio Nurse Nursing Aide scope of practice pertaining to the ODH standards for NATCEP standards and guidelines Knowledge caring for the chronically ill and elderly Knowledge of safety standards and hazards in the health care setting Skills Current Ohio RN or LPN license. 24 months caring for the chronically ill or elderly Must have a current train the Trainer certification for the state of Ohio/NATCEP Computer skills including Word and Power Point Strong verbal and written skills Operation of electric hospital beds, mechanical lifts, and safety equipment used in caring for patients. Abilities Lecture to groups of students up to 30. Ability to plan and organize lecture and lab material Ability to supervise and instruct students in skill lab and clinical Work in a fast paced multitasking environment Leadership and mentoring qualities Documentation skills and verbal skills Current unencumbered Ohio RN or LPN license American Heart Association current CPR /HCP 24 months caring for the chronically ill or elderly Must have a current train the Trainer certification for the state of Ohio/NATCEP Prior experience as a Program Instructor for NATCEP preferred within last 2 years Campus Location Toledo/Findlay Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school 24 months caring for the chronically ill or elderly. This experience may be obtained through employment in a long-term care facility, geriatrics department, home health agency, hospital providing care to chronically ill individuals, or other long-term care setting. Experience in evaluating, in a long-term care setting, the clinical skills of individuals providing care shall be considered experience in caring for the elderly or chronically ill. Also have certifications listed below

Completion of the LPN or RN program and successful completion of the Train the Trainer NATCEP program (OAC 3701-18-09)
